Event Details

Signup for one or both weekends

  • Dates: Saturday, January 3rd & Saturday, January 10th
  • Time: 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM (or until all trees are collected)

  • 8:20AM Arrival, Scouts pick up hot chocolate & breakfast treat
  • 8:30AM Safety Briefing
  • 8:35AM Break into pickup teams
  • 8:45AM Depart for first pickup

Details

  1. Gathering: Gather to explain to the scouts and parents, Lead vehicle will be pickup vehicle. One or two chase vehicles can follow depending on the number of scouts. Try to reduce the number of vehicles if possible. Two deep leadership is required!
  2. Pickup: On approval of the driver, scouts will exit, recommend 2 teams, door and load team. Door team will drop off thank you card. Load team will pick up the tree and load into the truck or trailer.
  3. Conclusion: When all trees have been picked up, drop off trees at South Suburban tree drop off on Holly or Cornerstone park. Drivers should check with the other team, if no support is needed, return any scouts to Ford Elementary for parent pickup or home. If any funds are collected, they should be turned into a scout leader or Marcus the day of pickup.
